Disney's Pandora The World Of Avatar

I'm so excited to finally share my thoughts about Disney's Pandora – The World of Avatar. So many of you asked me about it and I figured I'd write what to expect when arriving to this magical new world Disney has dreamed up.
Disney truly outdid themselves with this creation. You guys will find yourself in a mystical world of massive floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforests and much more. Pandora is located in the Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, which if you haven't noticed from all my trips is my favorite park at Disney. You will be amazed by a larger-than-life Na’vi shaman and soar over Pandora on the back of a fearsome mountain banshee. Pandora is the largest addition in the history of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and you and your family will be surely amazed.
For me seeing Pandora was exciting because I am a fan of the movie, so it was a must for me to go check out. The mountains literally look as they are floating in the sky as beautiful waterfalls cascade down into beautiful streams and pools. There are two new rides, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. I unfortunately wasn't able to go on either as the wait time was over 2hrs and I had my children, in the June heat that wasn't an option. However I am going back in September and plan on heading to the park without the kids so I can enjoy it, so stay tuned for my review on the rides.
Here is some information about each ride.
"Avatar Flight of Passage launches each guest on an exhilarating, wind-in-your-face experience on a winged mountain banshee over the awe-inspiring world of Pandora. Guests will actually feel the banshee breathe beneath them as they soar through the forest and past floating mountains. What was a rite of passage for Na’vi in Cameron’s film becomes a multisensory experience for guests seeking the ultimate adventure – an encounter with the most feared predator of Pandora, the Great Leonopteryx."
"On the family-friendly Na’vi River Journey, guests travel down a sacred river deep into a bioluminescent rainforest. Aboard reed boats, they float past exotic glowing plants and Pandoran creatures into the midst of a musical Na’vi ceremony. The mystical journey culminates in an encounter with the breathtakingly realistic Na’vi Shaman of Songs who is deeply connected with Pandora’s life force and sends positive energy into the forest through her music."
"The artful storytelling on Pandora continues as guests stop for sustenance at the land’s Satu’li Canteen (pronounced “Sa-too-lee”), a Quonset-hut-style building with a spacious dining area that pays tribute to the Na’vi and their culture with special décor. The menu at this fast-casual restaurant is inspired by the healthful bounty of Pandora – wholesome grains, fresh vegetables, and hearty proteins."
Guests can also grab a drink at nearby at Pongu Pongu, where the staff serves amazing beverages including a bioluminescent frozen cocktail and indigenous beers. There’s even a sweet snack that guests won’t find elsewhere. If you know Disney you know that treasures like this are their thing, so make sure you stop by to try this out. My favorite was the Night Blossom, not only is it pretty but it taste soooo yummy. The "NightBlossom" is made up of limeade, apple and pear flavors, topped with the passion fruit boba balls. The Pongu Pongu stand offers a frozen strawberry “Mo’ara Margarita,” also garnished with boba balls, along with a green beer and a pineapple-and-cream-cheese spring roll. My mother had the margarita and it definitely was yummy.
You can also visit Windtraders where guests can choose from Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits and more. Annabelle loved that she can make a necklace and it definitely catered to all ages.Authenticity and realism were drivers in the creation of Pandora, and you guys will not and I repeat will not be disappointed. My advice is if Disney is offering Fast Passes grab ahead of time because the lines are long, also try to go at hours where you can see the exhibit both during the daylight and night, it is totally two different experiences. I wasn't able to get pictures at night but it surely is a site to see. I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to stay tuned for some more Disney trips and reviews.
