Hi Babes,

Two posts in one week, who am I, lol. All jokes aside, I am going to try on to be more active on here and my youtube channel. I have been slacking, and that's on me, so no more excuses. I want to thank you so much for all the love on the sunroom reveal. The sunroom and this balcony, have kept me busy through this quarantine period, but also reminded me of my love of home interior decorating. Expect more decorating posts and DIY because there is a lot more of this house I haven't shared with you.

Let's get started with this balcony update because I know that's why you are here. Guys, I have to be honest I had no intention of redoing this balcony. The more I looked at the space, the more I realized the previous furniture just didn't fit well in this area, so I moved all the furniture to my deck and started to envision what I wanted this space to look like. Back in March, I visited Curacao, and the vibe and colors made me feel relaxed and knew I wanted to bring elements somehow into my home. I wanted the area to transform me back to this beautiful island, so I started with a color scheme. I'm sure you all can tell I love neutral tones in my home, but this space I wanted colors.

I started with the door to the storage closet. The door was rusted, so I decided that I should paint it pink. I knew my husband would have a heart attack about it, but he never goes out there, so pink it was. The funny part is now when you drive on our street you can spot the pink door. I like to say this is payback for my husband cutting down my favorite tree in front of our home; we are now even. Once the door was painted, I decided to decorate my planter bike with faux flowers and added a boxwood wall. I took a table and side table I had and spray painted them a peach color. I remember seeing these inexpensive chairs that were a teal color, so I purchased those, hanging lights and these gorgeous faux pillows from Target. The actual furniture I purchased in May from Wayfair, and it came with the coffee table. I love that the color is neutral because if I ever changed my mind with decor, which let's be honest, I do a lot, it would be easy to do. I love how this space came out and cant wait to sit and watch beautiful sunsets. Stay tuned because I still want to transform the storage closet out here as well.

Peace & Love,

Lissette
