A Day at Walt Disney's Epcot
Hi Loves,
So as most of you know a few weeks ago I was able to go on a trip on behalf of Disney with my family. If you haven't read my prior post, you can catch our day at the Animal Kingdom here and our day at Hollywood Studios here. Today I want to share our time at Epcot. I am not going to lie when I visit Disney this is the park I like to think of as mommy and daddy park, and I am going to tell you why. Whether you are a foodie or a world traveler, you will be whisked away on world adventures. I love that you feel like you are really in different countries as you walk around. This park is one I would recommend for those of you that don't have children.
Since we were here with Disney, we were able to have a beautiful private dinner at Living Seas which I highly recommend "Enjoy intimate dining and spectacular views of a living coral reef—and the 4,000 amazing sea creatures who call it home!" The best part about it all was the kids got to meet Mickey and Minnie, such a great surprise for us from the folks at Disney. We also were able to check out Frozen Ever After, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and Turtle Talk With Crush all great for the kiddos.
The best part about heading to Disney during April is getting to see the International Flower & Garden Festival, which I never saw before. They have fantastic flower sculptures of your favorite characters, live music shows, outdoor kitchens from around the world. I was in aww of how pretty the colors of the flowers looked. I wish I had more time to take pictures because everything looked so pretty. I definitely plan on making a trip back in April.
We ended our day at Epcot with an Illuminations Dessert Part. SO if you have never been to Disney, you must catch the firework shows at each park. Epcot has the IllumiNations: Reflections on Earth:
Part One: The Earth Is Born
"Earth’s fiery birth begins with flames and fireworks erupting from the lagoon. Beneath a swarm of heavenly explosions, red and golden lights blaze on the shimmering waters. As the volcanic effects subside, a glowing globe glides peacefully across the waters."
Part Two: The Triumph of Life
"Our individual stories culminate in one adventurous tale. The illuminated surface of the globe reveals the history of humanity and the achievements of our time."
Part Three: Hope for the Future
"Comets of light race into the sky, before the globe blossoms like a lotus flower, revealing a torch ablaze with our dreams. A chorus of voices rises as the entire lagoon dances with bursts of joyous white light."
What a great way to end our night. I hope I gave you some insight on Epcot and you make your way to this park. Stay tuned for our day at The Magic Kingdom.
Peace & Love,
Lissette
