The Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes Orlando

Hi Loves,

I hope all of you are having a great week. It's travel Tuesday and I am happy to share all about my stay at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Lakes in Orlando. I planned our family Disney Trip and 5 year Wedding Anniversary celebration, so I wanted something that was fun for both the kids and us and The Ritz fit the bill. Our trip was right after Hurricane Irma, so the Hotel was in the process of getting things back  into tiptop shape , but honestly that didn't stop us from having a great time. We had an amazing room with a view of the lake and pool., as you can see it was gorgeous.

The staff was super pleasant and Omg guys the food was to die for. We ate at the Bleu everyday while we hung out and my mother and I had this dish that lobster, shrimp, avocado and a mango dressing that was beyond, I think I literally dream about that dish weekly. We also ate dinner at Highball & Harvest and the food was delicious. Highball & Harvest 's menu is full with ingredients from local farms, as well as their own green-growing efforts. The Ritz has an on-site 7,000- square-foot garden at Whisper Creek Farm. I had a to die for apple martini and their appetizer of The Southern Spread which came with Pimento Cheese / Smoked Wahoo / House Saltine Pickled Vegetables / Country Toast and their  “Aged n’ Cured”  Salami / Prosciutto / Tasso / Pork Rillette Featuring Local Winter Park Cheese , both were so yummy. I think our favorite part was dessert though. I had H&H Baby Donuts Lineage Brew Gelato Hazelnut Spread and Annabelle had Gelato and Sorbet Cups ( Pistachio), by the time we left we were stuffed. It also helps that are waiter was super informative and friendly.

During my stay I was also able to check out the Spa and if you guys remember it was during the time I was looking for my dad in PR , so this massage was much needed.  I end up getting The Relaxation Massage  which  was 80 minutes or you can choose 50 minutes. This massage  is a aromatherapy massage using light to moderate pressure and a blend of essential oils to melt away tension. I also got a facial booster which you can select from their extensive range of boosters, peels and masks. My masseuse helped me relax and enjoy the moment, which like I said was much needed. If you opt to get a massage you have access to the private pool which kids are not allowed in, so its a great escape for parents or adults who want to enjoy pool time away from children.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. One of my favorite surprise was a a chocolate bunny with, chocolate covered strawberries and warm cookies for the family, it was a cute surprise and we all enjoyed it. I actually cant't wait to head back and visit so we can check out the sister hotel the JW Marriot amenities and to eat my favouitre dish at Bleu.

Peace & Love,

Lissette
